Following this thread. How much power do you need to dedicate to a 12V fridge? This is a great idea for a secondary fridge that could sustain on a modular or portable solar set up. I hadn’t thought of this (duh…). We have a gas powered Generac – whole house and a monster system. But useless if the grid fails on us, so I’m looking to start incorporating some “pockets” of solar back up power for a worse-case scenario. I’m interested in the Bluetti but everytime I get on the site I end up in a research rabbit hole and can’t figure out what we really need. I’m going to check out the EcoFlow and Anker. Researching all the info is complex and completely daunting. This site has been such a help. Thank you all!
Following. We have a pretty great Generac whole house system (natural gas powered) but if the grid goes down or for whatever reason the gas supply is interrupted, the well pump won’t work and we’re out! I’m considering a solar generator for back up…something strong enough to power the well pump, fridge and hvac. Any suggestions? Or…best smaller solar system that would at least handle fridge and smaller appliances (we do have water storage). Still pretty new (and easily intimidated) at all this. Thank you!
Is anyone aware of any training programs or groups in the Oklahoma City area? Ugh…you’d think we’d have some resources but we didn’t even make the list! 😑 Thank you!
