A related question is, did seeing the news in the Capitol cause you to set any previous plans into motion or increase your preparations? In our case, Wednesday happened to be the day my wife was making a trip to the local wholesale club. While she was on the way to the store, the attack happened. I informed her by text, told here to get anything extra she felt would be good to stock up on. A typical wholesale club trip is $200-$250. She came home with $650 in purchases. All of it stuff we normally buy, just extra.

Interesting. When does it take effect? I have scheduled my Technician exam for next week and was planning on doing General later this year. But perhaps I should accelerate getting the General license.

It hasn’t been an issue. My wife make a gallon of iced tea sweetened with 1/2 C honey every 1-2 days.

I buy honey direct from a local apiary about 30 miles from our house. My last buy was five 1 gallon jugs. They give a substantial discount for buying 5 gallons or more. They charge $32 for a gallon (12 pounds) of wildflower honey when you buy 5 gallons, instead of $40 for a single gallon. It works out to $2.66 a pound. Other local honey sold by the pound at the local ace hardware costs about $8.50 a pound.
