I struggle to think of a worse prepper strategy than “kill and take other’s supplies”. Even having no plan is worse because then people might take pity on you, but that all goes out the window the second you’re a threat.I know there are very few people who plan this, but the fact that there are any blows my mind.
How bad is it for a water container to be semi-translucent? We have a couple containers that aren’t completely see through, but they’re not completely opaque either. After reading this article I plan to replace them eventually, but I’m wondering how much I should prioritize that replacement.
The curriculum was exactly the same. We got the equipment you listed, but we had paid a small fee ($40 or less each) to take the class, so I don’t know if call it a freebie. But it was all sold at cost so it was worth it to me.
I just read that article and I’m gonna start sharing it with people as it covers all the reasons I liked cert.
My wife and I did the cert course and loved it. Very informative and was really the start to my prepper journey.
My wife and I attended our local CERT class and found it very useful. It’s all about what to do in emergencies, though it focuses more on how to help rather than just survive. That said there’s a lot of good stuff like basic first aid and such.
