A lot of modern cars (in the UK at least) don’t come with a spare, just some gunk to go in the tyre to fix it. Apparently its only good for 50 miles or so at low speed, to get you to the nearest garage. Space where the wheel was is now often part of crumble zones for impact protection. Just checked, and the UK MOT only checks your in use tyres, and not your spare.

Also along the shaving savings advice, I use solid soap and a brush with a standard razor blade. It lasts a lot longer and works out significantly cheaper in the long run. Plus you are not throwing/using pressurised containers with foam/gel in them.

Air For Life https://airforlife.org.uk/shop/ plus there is a kit with mask, cylume etc https://www.beeswift.co.uk/web/uk/webitem.html?Item=CM1991&ItemNo=CM1991 Top of cylinder has a small plastic cap (with keeps falling off) to prevent accidental release of the o2) I used some orange tape to keep it in place. Also the holster in yellow is extra out of the box the cylinder is a lot smaller, and compact. Not sure how to store the mask safely this way though I also got some fireproof gloves and goggles. Could do with a cylume and maybe some form of head protection similar to in the kit. Any ideas of how to store the mask safely when its not in the box/tube???

Here is the opening and wearing of the Fire Mask: Fairly straightforward, package opened easily. Not so easy to get a seal around the neck. Plus the visor fogged up almost immediately, and thats with no excertion. Would give you some heat protection for the head. Plus the “lifespan” of these is not great, thats why I opened this one, it was out of date Price on amazon is about £40 GB pounds with around a two year expiry

Follow up: Size comparrison. As you can see the Air for life system is a fair bit bigger, but you would expect that as it has a cylinder.

UK based, and I forgot to take the picture of a pen (tombow airpress in bright orange) and notebook. Usually have a stop the bleed type kit somewhere as well. (A micro trauma style belt kit) Car and house keys, scalpel blade knife attached Wazoo belt with a few odds and ends in, spare currency etc Trayvax wallet Small swiss army penknife Small medical kit (plasters, tweezers, gloves and CPR mask) Solar powered watch the ID/blood group tag (with a quote on it) Everything else is in the car/bag/office etc

Legal as long as you have a valid reason for having it with you. Normally private land is fine. Walking around near a school, not so much. Air rifles must are limited to a certain power, you must be over 16 (I think) and you must be on private land, or with the landowners permission (say on a farm) and the shot must not endager the public, or go over a public road (this is a rough and ready summary)

Just a quick technicallity on the British Standard locks you have improved the screws on. The locks were tested to BS3621 with the included screws, and tecnically, they no longer comply to the standard if different(better) screws are used. This is of course complete garbage, as it’s known in the trade that the supplied screws are made of cheese, and anyone with any sense has upgraded them. But, your insurrer could argue the point, (I have never known any do this, they are only concerned with the kitemark on the faceplate). Otherwise good work on the sane prepping. Don’t go buying a crossbow!
